Distraction is role-played by Orion's Dagger. Distraction is a monster of the forests and fields.
About[]
A monster who roams just beneath the earth. It sprouts up wherever it feels like.
At first, it appears to be a small black rose. It releases the sound of crying children to lure people near, before shifting into its true form and trapping them. Then, it forces their captive to play a game. If they win, they might go free, but they're more than likely stuck until they lose a game. And if they lose, they lose their lives.
He has roots reaching every feasable corner of the earth he can survive, and as such, unless completely uprooted or burned, he will never truly die.
Some fear it may attempt to attatch itself to Yggdrasil, and thus, connect across the worlds.
Appearance[]
Form 1 - A black rose, in the center is what appears to be a small child's face.
Form 2 - A massive rose, with a thorny stem that is wider than the average tree and hunched over from the weight of its petals. Thousands of needle-sharp thorns run across its stem. Its black petals surround what appears to be a porcelain child's face, eternally crying. Two long, thin leaves act as arms, dripping a poison with no cure. The only hope if affected is to either wish that it doesn't kill you, or remove it from your body's system by some other means.
Personality[]
Has a childish personality, it loves puzzles and games. It actively seeks out others to compete against in an array of games. It hates to lose.
Despite its childlike speak and demeanor, it is quite intelligent. Able to figure out the basics of even the most difficult games after having seen them only once. And when given the time to think, it can figure out ways to back itself out of corners when in danger of losing.
Abilities[]
Plant-Based Body - Being a monster plant, Distraction is unable to be killed directly without completely removing all of him from where he has interwoven himself with the earth. Using its roots, it can transfer its main consciousness to other locations it has grown.
Poison - Its leaves drip an uncurable poison.
Relationships[]
The Dread Doctor - It seems they once isolated a portion of his body for experimentation. It has long since wilted and died, but Distraction is far more wary of this group, avoiding them entirely. He does not want to meet them ever again, no matter what game they offer him.
